Descrição The adverse effects resulting from environmental problems and increased public environmental awareness have fostered the development of creative solutions to reduce the environmental impacts of construction. In this context, several assessment tools are being developed worldwide to provide an effective framework for measuring the construction process environmental performance (Amasuomo et al. 2017). Among them, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, in particular its certification for new buildings and major reforms: LEED BD + C, which can be used as an instrument to promote sustainability considering the role of construction in this process. pt_BR
